I love Dolly but

I didn't like Blue Valley Songbird. It was too predictable. And Dolly needs blonde hair. The red just wasn't working. Dolly's best work as an actress was 9 to 5 and Best Little Whorehouse (although you can't let the kids see that one. Or at least, you shouldn't!). Like Oprah (whose best work was The Color Purple), Dolly got so big that people were afraid to "direct" her. That happens a lot when people become superstars. However, I do think Dolly would let someone who knows what they are doing direct her because she says she wants to keep working until she drops dead! Make too many bad movies and/or songs, and you won't work for long.
