Curiosity About Elementals.

Hello Folks:

Other media featuring elemental beings - which are supernatural beings or Human beings that can take the form of air, water, fire, stone and/or other matter.

- AN AMERICAN TAIL: storm at sea generates waves which sometimes form the shape of a demon.
- COLOSSUS (?): computer/video game that features huge rock giants of various types.
- THE ABYSS: movie which has seen of an alien entity taking the form of water.
- ROCK LORDS: franchise about 2 groups of opposing people made of stone brought to you from Tonka, the same people behind the GOBOTS.
- DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: 1980s cartoon episode where Dungeon Master, his kid followers and even Venger (the Prince of Evil) battle a mammoth and powerful being who takes the form of a huge cyclone. In another episode, Venger escaped in the form of smoke after his volcanic prison was destroyed while he chanted, "You will all pay for this!" Also, check MONSTER MANUALS put out by this franchise; they have stuff on various types of elemental spirits and beings.
- BATTLE BEASTS: not necessarily elementals per se, but these monsters supposedly had elemental powers, mainly representing fire, water and wood.
- STAR BLAZERS: in one episode, our heroes on the starship Argo battle a monster that was made up of many "living" rocks. (One of my favorite old school anime shows!)
- THE NEVERENDING STORY movies: I know that the first movie featured a talking mountain; I have not even seen the last two.
- HE-MAN & THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE (1980s): episode where guy chases Teela because he still has a crush on her; in the end, though, he meets up with a fiery demon who wants to keep his soul. (Please, whatever you do, don't make deals with the Devil!)
- INHUMANOIDS: 1980s cartoon whose main antagonists were 3 evil giant monsters (Metlar, D. Compose & Tendril) but eventually feautured Granok and his posse of stone-based troops.
- WEEKLY WORLD NEWS: defunct black-n-white tabloid magazine that mainly featured news relating to UFOs, aliens, government conspiracies and bizarre phenomena - like on X FILES. Occasionally, they had photographs (mostly altered ones) of Satanic faces appearing in the form of dark clouds, smoke (like the kind that resulted from the fire at David Koresh's Branch Davidian compound) and one icy mountain. Very wierd.
- GHOST RIDER: movie where Ghost Rider battles a band of bikers, one of whom can take the form of wind.
- END OF DAYS: Satanic spirit from the underworld blends in with the elements, before and after possessing man (Gabriel Byrne) and cop (Arnold Schwarzenegger). Demon loses battle in the end and returns to Hell in the form of fire.
- THE DC COMICS ENCYCLOPEDIA: A lot of DC superhumans (both villains & heroes alike) tend to have elemental powers, such as the Metal Men, p. 231; Red Tornado, p. 286, Prysm, p. 277, Night & Fog, p. 251; "icy" superhumans, pp. 168-9; "fiery" superhumans, pp. 121-3; Naiad, p. 246, etc. There are lots of other elemental superhumans, just look for this book in any big bookstore or library.
- The MARVEL ENCYCLOPEDIA: A DEFINITIVE GUIDE TO THE CHARACTERS OF THE MARVEL UNIVERSE: More elemental superhumans from Marvel such as Iceman, Human Torch, Firestar, etc. I am sure that there are many others, just look for this book at any big bookstore or library.
- POKEMON, YU-GI-OH and/or MAGIC(K) cards: I am not much into these, but some kids playing these have summoned up things like water spirits and fire spirits.

Does anyone know where I can find more stuff about elemental beings? Also, is it possible that I can get DVDs of SHADOW RAIDERS (WAR PLANETS) still?

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that there is an elemental (an imp made up of molten lava) on the movie DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: WRATH OF THE DRAGON GOD (2005).

One you missed was the Thundercats series that featured many elementals. Here are a list of some:

The Inflamer - Is a flame elemental in the episode "All That Glitters" who requires gold to sustain his ability to survive in and control fire.
Rock Giants - Massive giants often pose as hill sides and ususally attack from behind. (Forgot their episodes)
Living Ooze - Basically a conscious pollution that is determined to cause as much pollution on third earth as possible thereby terraforming the planet. He was in the episode "Mandora."
Driller - This guy is odd and may or may not be an elemental but I'll let you decide. He really doesn't look like he's even of that particular universe and is essentially a living drill. He was in the episodes: "Spitting Image" & "Return of the Driller"

And the good news is you can watch all these on youtube.
