There was only one thing on my mind while watching Transformers this summer - The time is right, finally, for a Mazinger Live Action Movie!! Years ago I read about James Cameron buying the rights and I nearly wet myself. Whoever makes it, as long as they show it the proper respect it was be great and easily could be a multi movie franchise.
I can see it so clearly in my mind and how great it would be!
lol, I just got back from seeing Transformers 2 and was thinking the same thing. Would love to see a movie featuring Mazinger as well as the other giant robots.
It could be interesting to see Mazinger in live action wether it has a good crew behind it (can be awesome) or just have a bunch of guys who didn't even see the anime (in that case it would be worse than battlefield earth XD). Also, it can't be guaranteed that it'll work because of the fact of not having anything to do with any of Go Nagai's original "style" (if u know what I mean) unless its made by a crew that takes said style *very* seriously.
