Well, she could have eaten Travis. Would have been neat to have seen her skeletal remains surrounded by bits and pieces of him indicating her madness. Would have been a nice finale to this wacky film.
I thought she died from her head injury, not immediately, but eventually. She needed medical attention and being attached to the body kept her from going anywhere. Personally I would have crawled around, found some sort of jagged rock and severed the corpse's hand at the wrist. That's what led me to believe that her head injury was worse than expect. She DID have a TON of blood on her head when she finally killed the guy. But she probably succumbed to her injuries not long after he died.
