Jack instead of Fi?

I started watching the series again because I miss it, and I started to notice things I didn't before when this show was on the air. Idk if it was coz I was a kid when I watched it and just didn't pick up these things or if I just forgot about them..

But the episode Avatar in season 2 is actually narrated by Jack instead of Fi. I found that strange because out of all the characters Jack is the most skeptic. And throughout the episode they spoke to Fi on the phone while she was away and that reminded me of Chrissy on Three's Company. When they were slowly writing Suzanne Somers out of the show they shortened her scenes to short telephone conversations on another set away from everybody. I know Fi sticks around for a few more episodes but this makes me wonder if this was their way of getting ready to cut her lose too.

Are you watching the series online??

Yes, I was able to find the full episodes on this site http://Vodly.to/tv-10981-So-Weird/.

The owner of a blog called F Yeah So Weird talked to Jon Cooksey, executive producer for the show, through e-mail and he said that this episode was designed so that Cara could have some time off. I don't think they knew at that point that Cara was leaving the show.

Oh okay. Interesting. I didn't know that thanks! :)

I wish she hadn't left though. It wasn't as good with Annie.

Totally agree. The show was nowhere near as good with Annie.

This is my signature.

You're welcome!

Unfortunately, the show was going to change even if she had stayed. Jon Cooksey said that Disney decided to lighten up the show, not because Cara was leaving but because they wanted to anyway. I think that's ultimately why it wasn't as good.

Oh right, I remember reading that. Big mistake on their part. That decision ruined one of their greatest shows :-/
