My dvd stopped playing near end!!! Need spoilers!

so i was watching this lovely movie, enjoying it very much, until my dvd that i rented from blockbuster started skipping. It got to a point where my dvd player just all together stopped playing it, and now i'm left wondering what happened at the end. I was at the part where samehada was sitting at the base of the tree in the forest and had a gun pulled on him (i cant remember the guys name that pulls the gun on him). And then the girl walks up and pulls a gun on the guy, then in turn he pulls the knife on her throat. (sorry if this is confusing, i cant remember the names right now). So i was at that point where samehada had a gun at his head, the guy in the trench coat had 2 guns at his head, and the girl had a knife to her throat, and thats where my movie ends. Can anyone explain what happens after that?

The last scene is a flashback to Samehada's friend during the time he let's the girl go. He tell's her of a weird dream where god tells him to help them both or something like that. He thinks god means Samehada and the girl. So he lets the girl go, there is another flashback to the end of the bank robbery when Samehada and his friend are driving away, and then the friend has the realization that the girl is the same one from the robbery. That reads very confusingly, hope it made sense. The movie just ends after that.
