Depressing state of the film

Although much enjoyed by me, I must say that this film definitely had a depressing aura-type feel. As for me, I love depressing movies that are angsty and deal with suicide and all that *beep* up *beep*, and no, I am not crazy. But the ending made me cry, I mean it was real sad. Chloe and Darrin made a suicide pact, Darrin not even knowing if it was even his kid half way through the film, and only Darrin went with it. And it was Chloe's idea, and she never went through with it! That pissed me off and also made you see how unhappy Darrin was, so *beep* unhappy he killed himself. It's sad, but this movie shows what goes on inside some teens heads and maybe will make people more aware. What did you think?

Part of the reason that Rollercoaster is such a good movies is becuase of the intesentity created by bringing up the issue of a teen suicide pact. At first you think it's just a suicide pact, but then when you think about you can see all the pain that Darrin is going through. There's a scary reality to the depression in Kett Turton's eyes during this movie, but at the same time that's what makes you keep watching. It's a powerful movie that is not afraid to raise the question of why some people look at suicide as an answer and others do not. The fact that it deals with kids going through these issues shows that kids do have problems.

Kett Turton is a brilliant actor. I think he ought to give Daniel Radcliffe acting lessons. But then after an hour of that he might REALLY kill himself!
