What song closed BTC?

Can anyone tell me the title and/or artist of the song that ends this incredible movie? (I'm talking about the very last song that fades out as the credits finish rolling.) It's not on the soundtrack CD. I closely examined each of the songs listed in the credits, but couldn't match its lyrics to any of the titles shown, nor did I recognize the artist's voice or musical style. I've even
perused several search engines for some of the lyrics, without success. Here's an approximation of those lyrics:

===== LYRICS START =====

I could take a trip,
Get away from this place,
But I'm stuck like glue to you.
I wish I could fly
And finish this lie,
But I won't 'cuz I know that it may cause hurt to you.

Flying in a plane
On a Friday afternoon
Would be a thrill.
Or making history
In the world today by sculpting some words
Or laze and let it slip away.

CHORUS:
And if I took a trip to the north horizon,
The weather would change.
The freedom isn't ?????? vacation,
It's livin' today.

Only I don't know
If I could deal the good chips
With my hands and lift my mind.
The dream don't ever die.
It can run and hide and then
Manifest and grow deeper inside.

Alone, I wonder why
Should I save my soul
In a future dream of eternity.
Well, I ??????????????
That despite the trends,
I'd rather be a fighter, livin' free.

[CHORUS]

[20-BAR INTERLUDE]
La la la la la la...

After all the pain
And the tears subside,
I find that there's still love inside.
And I want you back...
[FADES WITH MOVIE END]

Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.

I've been trying to find out about this song for a while too and all I've been able to find was this website that has the lyrics posted:

I'm sorry I couldn't help any more!

Thanks to a tip from Anna Lumiere of the Vancouver band Mimosa, I was able to verify that the closing song of "Better Than Chocolate" is "Soda Pop" by Lindsey Davis (AKA Lily Frost), co-founder of Mimosa with Lumiere. Davis/Frost wrote and performed it in her earlier band, Colorifics, on their album "Living City". The song *is* listed in the closing credits of BTC, but my rather thorough examination of the entire film soundtrack was thwarted by the many songs that were instrumental or whose titles weren't in the lyrics heard in the soundtrack. Add to that the fact that nearly all the artists are relatively-unknown Vancouver-based performers, and it was quite a research project. (I hope my detailed explanation makes a tiny contribution to raising the profile of these excellent musicians.) Thanks a bunch to Anna for her help!

Thanks for the info. I bought the Colorifics cd and that's the song. It is so cool. I had been looking for it for a few years, checking this board from time to time.
