Really Creepy Mixing Mom + Son Sex Scenes... Awful Movie
Ya, this movie came highly recommended. I can't, for the life of me, figure out why.
It was poorly written, acted, directed, conceived and executed. And it was fu*cking creepy as hell. Seriously. Who edits a mom's masturbation scene together with her son's sex scene????
Wow, Freudian slip anyone?
The plot, what there is of one, is meandering at best. I can't tell exactly what the film makers wanted the audience to get out of this film. It went from one topic to another without properly developing any of them. That left me unsatisfied about any of the subplots in the movie. And as for a main plot... ok... which one was it?
Was it the budding romance between the supposed leads? I say leads because they were the first seeming protagonists introduced in the film. But then our attention is switched to a newly divorced and sheltered mom... wtf was that corny masturbation scene supposed to do for this crap pile of a movie anyway.
And, again, I have to mention how disturbing it was of the editors to interpose the mom's masturbation scene with the scene of the son having sex with an overage person. Wow.
Also, most of the music in the movie is so bad it's unlistenable. The only worse example of song choices in a movie is the unholy music put together for a lesbian inspired movie that is actually worse than this one: Room in Rome.
Not sure how anyone could get anything but boredom and annoyance out of this badly made "film". It's a real wonder any of these people have gone on to have a substantial career of any kind anywhere on any planet.
Well... with maybe the small exception of Christina Cox. I have seen her in other work where she was quite good and memorable. In fact, she is the ONLY actor in Better Than Chocolate to show any hint of a knowledge of acting and/or film making in the least. She at least had a real presence when she was on screen.
Oh and the actor who played Judy was ok, too. I have known many transgendered people who look and act and sound very close to, if not exactly like Judy. Also, she was the only character they bothered to try to develop at all.
Yes, people. This movie is a real suck fest. It's a shame too because there are few enough opportunities for any of the subjects in this movie to be seriously and entertainingly addressed. With films like these I fear the opportunities and resources will be even more limited in the future.
PLEASE start funding people who are capable of actually making a decent, quality movie about the gblt community and everything that goes with it. Can't we get more than one or two decent movies per decade?
Lastly, luckily I did not pay a dime to see this movie. I saw it free on the internet. If I had liked it, I would have purchased it legitimately from a source that would benefit the film makers. Thank god (or whomever... you know, the one of your choice) for the free internet movie sites if this is the constant bullsh*t films we are continually going to have to put up with.
Idiots abound. This means you.
