The US release of Help! I'm a Fish! was actually in Quebec. Will this film ever come to America in reality?

It is being released on DVD in the US on September 5, 2006. It has been retitled "A Fish Tale." You can purchase it at Amazon.com and other retailers. To purchase it at Amazon.com, go to:

That's terrible news! The cover looks awful, and everyone's going to think its a new, direct-to-video release copying Shark's Tale and Finding Nemo and not something original produced years ago. :( I'm so glad I ordered my copy from the UK.

DVD release date is this Tuesday, 9/5/06 and it's titled "A Fish Tale". I work in a video store and brought a copy home to review. I'll give you my opinion later.

Any idea why they decided to change the name etc... for the US release?

Prefer the name and cover it has elsewhere in the world to be honest.

What the hell were they thinking? There must have been some pretty beastly copyright problems somewhere along the lines 'cos they had a perfectly suitable cover art (and title) in the UK version but this is probally going to put the American market off watching what is actually a pretty enjoyable animated film. This is exactly why I've come to dispise CGI art/animation in recent years, Unless it's Pixar at the helm (And to a lesser extent Dreamworks) it always looks very tacky & cheap. so there.

Jeez, it's a good thing I heard about this film BEFORE I saw that cover or I'd be completely turned off from it. And that CGI! It looks like a crappy PC game!
