huh?

Great flick, but ...

How does the aunt gather all those family members and prepare that spread ... in about a half hour?

Hmmm?

Well, let's see there is the fact that we're dealing in compressed "movie time" and not "real time". Seriously, I'm sorry if you've never had an experience like that. But here's news for you . . . some families are actually TIGHT KNIT!! I know . . . SHOCKER. I'm speaking from experience here. 9 or 10 years ago, my parents and I went up to San Francisco for vacation. My mom has cousins in Pittsburgh, CA (about 45 minutes outside of San Fran) that she hadn't seen in over 20 years. We were in San Fran and mom called her cousins. They said to come up that evening. When we arrived there were no less than 30 family members there and food galore. Everyone warm and loving like I'd known them forever though they'd never seen me before. And not takeout food either. Home cooked stuff. Maybe it's a southern/regional/cultural thing. Even though we were in San Francisco, we're Mississippi people. And yes, the space between phone call to getting there was 2.5 to 3 hours, but I think the point is made. YES THINGS LIKE THIS HAPPEN AND NO IT'S NOT UNREALISTIC OR FARFETCHED IN THE LEAST.

My dad passed away suddenly 24 years ago this past Sunday. My mom called my aunt in southern Ohio, 4-5 hours away, and they were up here pretty quickly as I remember...my aunt and uncle and cousins. I was 17 at the time. Even my friend that I spoke of in another thread was at my house relatively quickly when I called him and told him my dad passed away. Of course it took his uncle two minutes to drive him over and drop him off.

"I'd be very happy to be myself if I could remember who I am. Who am I?"

Some of that food could have come from the fridge. Not a lot of preparation needed. If each family brought over 1-2 dishes, a big spread could be put together quickly.

At any rate, that food looked awesome. I was salivating and rewinded that part a few times.

No two persons ever watch the same movie.

He called his aunt the night before. That is time to call people and gather family to meet Antwone.
