Antwone in navy questions? HELP.

1.) The real Antwone Fisher spent 11 years in the U.S. Navy.
Timeframe-wise, he was in @ 1977 through @ 1988.

2.) I don't have the information as to which ships he served on.

3.) Antwone Fisher was an enlisted service member.
At the time of his discharge, Antwone was a Ship's Serviceman Petty Officer Second Class.
The Navy shorthand for someone with this title is "SH2", which is Paygrade "E-5".

The equivalents of a "Petty Officer 2nd Class" (E-5) in the other branches are:
- "Sergeant" {Sgt.) in the U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corp.
- "Staff-Sergeant" (SSgt.) in the U.S. Air Force.

The ship in the movie is the USS Belleau Wood LHA 3. But it's the Belleau Wood as it was at the time the movie was made (2002), not during the time he was in the Navy (1977 - 1989). I* served on the Belleau Wood from 1986 to 1990 as a Fire Controlman, and the weapon system I worked on was not on the ship in the movie. Also, I can find no reference to him serving on the Belleau Wood in his time in the Navy.
