Strange ending for baddies (SPOILER)

The two main villains deaths were handled in an odd way. Usually in this type of mindless film there is a graphic and interesting way to dispatch the baddies. But Max apparently in shot with her own gun in a brief fight and Josef dies by a thrown meat cleaver (the results of which are NOT EVEN SHOWN). I wonder if there was some type of decision in the editing or stipulation in the contract of IceT that resulted in this bloodless finale.

Yes, having a meat cleaver put through your forehead (the results of which are briefly shown in the VHS version)is neither graphic nor interesting.

Sarcasm, that. I honestly expected him just to get shot.

Yeah and the executions that Josef carried out didn't show anything either.. weak! Air Rage was a better movie, I love the scene where Ice T stabs the terrorist in the neck with a huge knife.
