You have been informed correctly.

I've just finished watching the 15 episodes..
god was i pissed after!
It's so perfect!Why the cancellation?!
I've never heard of this show before until I became a fan of Piven but I think that even if I didn't know him yet, I would've still loved it!

New Cupid is about to air as a Mid-season pickup- Still with Rob Thomas at the helm....

reply

what network and when? i'd be interested in giving this a shot. the Piven series was priceless, i loved Piven's Cupid. it was funny and sarcastic and (although fictional) believable. i hope this new version will keep that aspect and be some good.

Where did you see the episodes? I loved that show when it was on and seeing the commercials for the new version of it have been making me pine for the original.

"I've never heard of this show before until I became a fan of Piven but I think that even if I didn't know him yet, I would've still loved it!"

I had no idea who Jeremy Piven was at the time this aired, and I thought it was an awesome show. It was, I believe, the first in a long string of quality programming I, personally, enjoyed, that has gotten the axe on one of several networks in the past decade. It's a sad reality.

I have been dubious ever since noting they are giving this another go, and IMO it's going to be difficult for me to give another actor a chance in the role, but we'll see.. Ep 01 of the new run is waiting on my DVR (probably half borked due to a crappy Verizon DVR and/or service.. I note it's in two pieces, so there are issues).

I'm becoming numb to the antics of network execs that want instant ratings for everything nowadays and cannot give a show a chance, changing its slot, preempting it in its normal slot for "special events" or re-showings of a Michael Jackson interview or the season finale of "the Bachelorette!" or some such nonsense.. *ARGH!*

Well, if you've never seen "Lost" then I feel sorry for you.

LOL, yeah right, you must feel really sorry for anyone who hasn't seen that c**k tease of a show. A bunch of random bs thrown together.

reply

I feel sorry feel the folks who don't watch LOST also.
It is the only show I watch on ABC so I could not boycott for a while yet.
When Lost goes into it's final season next year, we will see
a frenzy like we've never seen before of people trying to get into the Lost
show. No doubt.

There are approximately and exactly 24 hours of LOST remaining . . .

reply

most of the good shows get the axe since they are good! it is the crapy shows that live on and on and on!

Claiming that Lost is a bunch of random BS just proves you didn't have the capacity to even understand the show, and failed to watch it regularly as one is supposed to do with a serialized television show.

reply

Doesn't matter.. If a show can't grip you in 3-6 episodes it's just not for you. Period. Nothing more or less. I gave Lost a chance mostly because I was a big Terry O'Quinn fan. The show just didn't grab me. Didn't interest me, our excite me to want to come back. And I am sure many others have felt that way about different shows. But I have gotten past the point of saying a person is dumb. Just that some shows just aren't for me.
