Nicholas Tse deserved the award!

Nic got best New Actor for this at the Hong Kong Film Awards that year, and he deserved it!!! He was amazing in this role!
Considering it was his first movie lead and quite a heavy topic, he did a great job. I really suffer with him everytime I watch this.
Kinda weird though, that he plays Ekin Chen's character and was cast as his son in "A Man Called Hero" a couple of years later. Do people think they look alike?

I've been a fan of Nicholas Tse since I first saw him in Gen-X Cops. Although the lead was probably Stephen Fung's character, I think Nicholas did hold his role very well, alongside Daniel Wu and Sam Lee.

I just watched the prequel again, and I thought he did an awesome job. He did actually look and act quite a bit like Ekin which made it so good.
