What do you think of 'Rhythmitis' (1936)?

I rated this a 6/10 for the database. What do you think of it?

This musical short is loosely tied together with a plot about a professor who invents pills that allow an awkward young man (Hal Le Roy) to become a dancer. This allows him to appear on Broadway with his favorite female star (Toby Wing). The musical numbers—which include Le Roy's eccentric dances—are enjoyable. Worst feature: Wing's awful dumb-blonde jokes. ("We're going to New York!" "I've always wanted to see the White House!")

Yeah, what's with what's her name... the brunette. Surely she's lip-syncing. Don't you think?

I did like her reading the telegram up to the word 'stop' though. The White House line just makes you want to scratch your head and go, "Huh?" The need for her manager to kind of explain why her comments are dumb blonde jokes was kind of lame.

I rated it 8.

I thought the two tap dancing numbers by Hal Le Roy were exceptional, some of the best I've seen! He was floating on his feet. The one on stilts, complete with a split, was impressive too. I enjoyed the singing, the finale and I laughed at all the jokes by the blonde!
