Which version on which release?

I used to have the Sterling Holloway-narrated version, the one that included the "Happy Valley" sequence and song, the abduction of the harp and subsequent depression of Happy Valley, and THEN started in on the Mickey, Donald, and Goofy material.

The only version I ever see anymore is the Edgar Bergen-narrated version, which omits the opening sequence entirely if I'm not mistaken.

Anyone know which version is on "Fun & Fancy Free"? If it's the Bergen one, does anyone know of any home video releases of the Holloway/Happy Valley version?

Thanks in advance.

Dave

When "Mickey and the Beanstalk" was shown on the Disney Channel back in 1996, 1997, or 1998 (I don't remember which), they usually started at Goofy and Donald singing, and Mickey coming in with the beans.

I'm currently looking for the Von Drake version on DVD. Does anybody know if that version has been released on DVD?

've never seen a version that short. The shortest version I've seen is a copy from network TV from the mid-80's that was narrated by Holloway and began (after a very brief narration) with the harp singing "What a Happy Day". It is the only version I've seen that had no wraparound segments (for example, Bergen or Drake), and thus the only version I've seen missing the ending where Willie lifts the roof (the TV version I'm talking about ended abruptly, with Willie falling to the ground). The narration was different in each of the three versions I know of, not just meaning a different narrator, but some of the dialogue was altered from version to version.

I know about this one,my grandmother taped it for me and my bro when we were little. It came on before a airing of Dumbo, and before it was Elmer Elephant. I hated how this version didn't include the hole Willie created. It just cut to a scene when the book lands on a velvet sheet and that ''It's What You Do With What You've Got'' song plays in the background.

Does anyone know which one contains the Sterling Holloway-narrated version. I've been looking for it for a while, I've already bought 2 other versions w/ different narrators mistakenly, but not the Holloway version. Please help.

I've never seen the Sterling Holloway version.
I've owned the Drake one forever, and I've recently seen "Fun & Fancy Free" so I now know the Bergen one as well. Drake will always be my favorite and, of course, the one I grew up with.

I also remember seeing the version that the original poster described. I have been looking for it for several years with no success. Does anyone out there know where this version can be found??

It's on Netflix bro.

Yeah. The Von drake one. Was the narration the only difference or were some of the voices different in different versions? I watched this on Netflix and it just felt a little off. Totally familiar but like it was different in little ways. Darker colors maybe too. I I'm just losing my mind.
