David Copperfield Starring Daniel Radcliffe AND Daniel Radcliffe!

I posted the below on the "Masterpiece Theater" website and sent the same suggestion to the staff of Daniel Radcliffe's site. Can't believe no one else has. Let's start a movement!

Not having read all the other comments, I'm dying to know if I'm the first person to have thought of this.

Since Daniel Radcliffe is so terrifically and deservedly popular, and "David Copperfield" was his first production, what about redoing the second half with Daniel as the adult David? Either the original actors could return with the scenes recreated on the same sets if they exist, rebuild the sets, or, if it can be done for less or any original actors are not available, simply digitally remove the original older David from the scenes and insert Daniel.

I've always wanted to see this done and don't believe it ever has been, so this would be a good and unique start! Please consider it!

There's no way it would work. The actors are not going to pick up everything and return, the sets are not going to be rebuilt, and the film company is not going to consider all the strenous work it would take just to insult the actor who played the older David.

They should, if they felt there was money and artistic merit in it.

Perhaps CiarĂ¡n McMenamin wouldn't mind so much if he were paid for *not* appearing. Wasn't there a film of "Beauty and the Beast" which someone redid with new music, and had to pay the original composer for *not* using his music?
