Okay all you opera lovers. The composer of the music that was used as the theme for the cartoon "Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego?" is Mozart. It is from the German language opera "Die Entfuhrung aus dem Serail" ("The Abduction from the Seraglio"). The specific piece is the chorus "Singt dem grossen Bassa Lieder".
Before you download the entire opera be aware that this song lasts for just over one and a half minutes in a production that goes on for about two hours.
If you are tempted to try to sing the original lyrics, please be careful. German was not meant to be spoken, much less sung, unless your tonsils have been nailed to your feet while running a marathon. Consider yourself warned.
An orchestral version of this music was featured in the movie "Amadeus" if you are interested in an easy introduction to Mozart's music.
do you have a link of it?
shareI'm sorry, I can't help you there. I am old and computer semi-illiterate. As far as I am concerned a link is a unit by which you purchase sausages. I never thought to look for something online that I already have in my CD collection. Short of suggesting that you attend a performance at your local opera house I am afraid that you I can't help you very much.

Amazing theme song, so uplifting and adventurous. One of my favorites of the 90's.
Try not to take life too seriously, no one gets out alive.
How awesome is Carmen Sandiego? She stole her theme song from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
I disagree with you, but I'm pretty sure you're not Hitler.
