It`s about f uckin time .
Kick ass! Hopefully this is like when Dr. Katz finally came out on DVD and Comedy Central quickly pumped out the second season DVD (with the third season coming out in a month and the fourth later this year). I'm positive that the second season's release will lead to the third season being released on DVD as well. I can only hope that Comedy Central or another channel decides to renew the series...
shareSeptember 18th is the new official release date
shareThis is seriously almost too good to be true, oh man, they better freaking release it.
And I hope this doesn't mean I'll have to wait another 4-5 years for season 3.
Unfortunately, I have a bad feeling that we will be waiting another five years for Season 3. Here's the really stupid part; Comedy Central is REDESIGNING the box art for the Season 1 DVD, and rereleasing it. Yes, and here's what we'll get with this NEW Upright Citizen's Brigade Season 1 set... The friggin logo will now be on the top of the cover of the box instead of the bottom. Whoopty-freakin'-DOOOO!!! With the money they wasted on this minute change in box art, they COULD have spent that money on advertising for Season 2, possibly reaching people outside of the show's relatively small cult following, so sales would be higher OR they could have just gone ahead and put that money towards the Season 3 set and finished releasing the whole series so the fans would quit bugging them about it, but nope... Instead we get a new redesigned Season 1 set with a completely unneccesary change.
shareI think it's good that they are releasing season 1. Most people I know missed out on getting it.
And you gotta be realistic when it comes to Comedy Central and advertising for this show. They won't even play reruns of it, no way they're gonna have any significant advertising/commercials.
That change though is pretty idiotic, but if that is ALL it is than I can't see how it would cost them too much time/money. Don't think that'll be much of an issue when it comes to their ineptitude at getting season 3 out.
