what is wrong with comedy central?

...and Mtv for that matter. Does anybody remember the State on Mtv? What the *beep* That show was incredible. I feel like i am in the matrix and program memory has been wiped out by the architect. The show has been wiped clean from our memories...its a...conspiracy!

also...why do brilliant shows like UCB and Strangers with Candy get axed while low brow fair like The Man Show and redneck comedy whatever get produced? i am really asking. i want answers, from all of you.

We should riot. If someone has access to an astronaut suit, we could put one on a cross and burn it.

I agree, except the Man Show ruled.

Not only do they cancel such great shows while greenlighting absolute trash(that ends up lasting much longer than the brilliant and hilarious shows), but they don't give the briliant canceled shows the respect they deserve. How bout showing Upright Citizen Brigade or Strangers with Candy episodes throughout the day or latenight? Instead we get lameass Mad TV nonstop, or some chick flick starring Cameron Diaz and Christina Applegate(how is that comedy, I have no idea). And how bout giving Upright the DVD treatment, which has long become standard for pretty much every show that has ever been on tv for more than one season.

The answer to your question is that Comedy Central sucks. Sure, they have South Park, which is one of the greatest shows ever made and in the running for greatest current show on tv. They've had some great stuff in the past like Chappelle Show, but ultimately the channel is garbage. Even with some of the best shows on tv, it still manages to be one of the worst networks on tv.

If "from time to time" means hardly never, once-twice a year tops, then you are correct.

You'd think they'd start playing it again now, at least for a week or two, to promote the dvd release. But that might actually be a good idea, so we can't expect Comedy Central to do it.
