Other than the Vma's its a sad sad sad thing, they need to cancel mtv all together now. I got to admit I stopped watching trl last year. I just finally lost interest. In the beginning i was in highschool, and I could not miss it, but slowly over the years it just started to get dumb

I was just reading an old article called "Stars Who Wouldn't Be Allowed on MTV Anymore" (see link), The comments posted after are just as interesing as the article. If I could only pick one thing to see on Mtv again it would be a program they did called "25 Videos Never to be Shown Again on Mtv". It was the funniest thing I've ever seen. Hosted by Jon Stewart,Janeane Garofalo,Chris Katan and Denis Leary. I may have left someone out but man it was hysterical. The lameass videos on the list.(lol) Journey - "Separate Ways",Eddie Murphy-"Party All The Time ", Don Johnson-"Heartbeat". Gerardo- "Rico Suave" and "Ice Ice Baby" by Vanilla Ice were some of the standouts.Vanilla Ice was in the studio to personally destroy the videotape of his song but he went crazy and bust the set up too! Which they had no idea he was going to do! Security threw him out of the studio. (lol) Didn't matter if it was bad video production or bad song or both,the stuff they said about the singers etc is hysterical! To this day I still laugh out loud.I wish someone would put it on youtube because my copy is half taped over by mistake.

Thanks for posting that clip "utpe". I wish they'd air the entire show again. It was funnier than most of the stuff on air today.I'm laughing now remembering videos. Europe's "The final Countdown" and Jefferson's Starship's "We Built This City" which was the number #1 video they never wanted to see again.

Its not all that surprising. TRL has not been the same in years. MTV in general sucks now and is not the same. TRL started going down hill after Carson Daly left the show. Its been dead for a few years now. I am surprised it has not been axed sooner with how the ratings are. I am not sure what the heads at MTV are thinking because its not a music channel anymore. Its a stupid reality channel.
