It seems to me that Seven Days just missed out of being made during what I consider to be the golden age of US TV drama, particularly Sci-Fi drama.

Lovable though it is, it is rather clunky.

It would have benefited from the higher budget to spend on
Better actors
Better scripts
Better effects
Better direction
Better production in general.

Still a good show.

Maybe it paved the way for other scifi shows. I enjoyed them too.

It ran from (1998–2001) so any show in that time envelope or immediately after.
