It was the episode in the Boyle's Department Store. After the villain is killed, Jeff and Jeannie leave the store to find that their car has been stolen and the three of them (Jeff, Jeannie and Marty) start walking.

It's sad that that was the last ever episode as I felt that there was a lot of unfinished business, including of course the burgeoning relationship between Jeff and Jeannie. I wanted to see more development in this area and if they'd made a series three, the storyline could have been about Marty gradually accepting Jeff and Jeannie as a couple, with him eventually giving his blessing.

Instead, the viewer is left to imagine that Jeff and Jeannie do finally get together and live happily ever after. There are certainly a lot of hints in series two that this would be the inevitable conclusion. In 'O Happy Isle' Jeff and Jeannie kiss a bunch of times, and she smuggles home a bottle of the female pheromone-boosting beer which she is supposedly planning on using to seduce Jeff. And in 'Marshall and Snellgrove', while there is clearly chemistry between Jeannie and Charley Marshall, when Charley asks her out she says no because there is "sort of" someone else and looks at Jeff.

Oh well...

"He murders his wife every night. Other than that, I think he's pretty harmless."
