Favourite episode?

What's everyone's favourite episode and why? You can have an overall favourite or pick one from each series. (I've mainly created this rule for my own benefit as I've only seen the first series and am still making my way through series two on DVD. Thus, I'll have to come back with my thoughts on series two.)

My favourite from series one has probably got to be 'A Blast from the Past'. I thought it was the most exciting of the series, some cracking scenes (I liked Marty's introduction to and shananigans in limbo), funny lines - "You kept that quiet didn't you?" and loved Paul Whitehouse doing his best Michael Caine impersonation. Also, the final scene where Jeff dies and appears as a ghost, just in time to save Marty from being thrown into the fiery pit, and the first kiss between Jeannie and Jeff.

Great episode I thought.

Further to my previous post, I have now watched both series and reckon that my favourite from series two is probably 'O Happy Isle'. I liked this episode because we got to see clear progression in the Jeff/Jeannie relationship, with Jeannie clearly interested in Jeff and wanting to kiss him. OK, so she was affected by the oestrogen-enhancing beer the first time but wasn't the other times they kissed.

Also the storyline with everyone on the 'Wicker Man'-like island turning gay was delightfully silly.

Great episode and great show. I'm still lamenting that they stopped after two series.

A Man of Substance.

What a cracking idea and a great cast of extras who all looked the part.

Really imaginative and although I thought the ending was a bit weak (I wanted the village to survive !) thoroughly enjoyed it.
