Should have kept going

This show was great, it was funny, light entertainment that starred everyone you could ever want in a TV show. Why did they stop making this?

Not as good as the 1969 original.

i think viewing figures were well down by the end of the second series.

i agree that there should have been more though, vic & bob were just starting to make the characters their own by the end of it

Yes, I for one was very disappointed that this series came to a premature end. Especially considering the final episode was probably the weakest - what the hell was that? It was like an LSD-induced dream!

Jeannie was probably my favourite character - Emilia Fox is a great actress (although it's fair to say she looked especially good alongside two non-actors). I was watching the episode 'Whatever Possessed You?' last night and thought she was particularly good in that as Jeannie and the spirit that possesses her. Jeannie always looked beautiful, I loved her clothes and she kicked arse!

I know this topic is long dead (no pun intended) but I thought I'd add that Vic & Bob are notorious for only making 2 series of any show they do, the only exception to this is Shooting stars which they were forced to do by the producers.

This series was brilliant, granted Vic and Bob's acting was very wooden, but they have had a bit more experience now, and Charlie Higson needs to redeem himself after the disappointing Jekyll and Hyde.
We watch the box sets regularly and still surprised on how many big actors appeared in it
