I can't recall no post man...I'm guessing you mean the guy in the orange jacket over the road when Lida looks out of the window???
He was the guy who sent Linda the card. He worked on the office with Linda; trying to come on to her.
He shouts 'Linda!' up at the window and when she looks out he starts...erm, let's say playing with himself - obviously he got off on it!
