Title music?

Hi,

Does anyone know the composer of the titlemusic for the series. It is not on the soundtrack and I cant find information anywhare. It is a quite wellknown chap but i can't remember.

The score is just fantastic.

I believe that the all of the original music for this French masterpiece was written by Bruno Coulais. Each time that I watch "Le Comte" I am struck by the power of the music. As far as I am concerned, "Le Comte de Monte Cristo" is second only to "I, Claudius" (and only by a hair's breadth) as the best product television has ever offered.

I agree, terrific music. I don't know the composer but it reminds me of a combination of composers - Vaughan Williams - say his 5th symphony, definitely Prokofiev, some Tchaikosky but more modern, the brooding Shostokovich, and sometimes Sibeliuus. The music makes this movie, and the movie is excellent.

Bruno calais is the composer. check amazon for the soundtrack. every song of the show is there
