Where did Toad go?

Toad was replaced by Yoshi and Oogtar. Anyone have an idea, why Toad wasn't on "The New Super Mario World?" My best guess would be is because in the stone age, mushrooms weren't made and/or invented yet. Also Dinosaurs, were back in the stone age, also cave people, so that would explain why Yoshi and Oogtar are in this. But I'm guessing mushrooms weren't made and/or invented back in the stone age and that's why Toad wasn't in this one? Tell me why you think Toad wasn't in "The New Super Mario World?"

reply

Probably because he wasn't in the game Super Mario World, unlike Yoshi. Besides somebody has to be watching the Mushroom Kingdom while the others are off in Dinosaur Land.

I never knew if Toad was male or female. s/he was probably not in Dinosuar Land but instead went home to Hemafro-land.

I always asked the same question. They could have EASILY worked Toad into this cartoon or at least had him "visit" for an episode. You know what the sad part is? The voice of Toad voiced OOGTAR!!

They probably wanted to create an excuse to keep his voice actor on board, since the guy was around since the Super Show.

reply

So true, but they should have kept him on the show. Everyone loved Toad! Anyone else agree with me?

Ummmmmmmmmmmm...last I checked mushrooms are not "inventions".

Well I guess I really just meant made back then. Yes, I see what you guys mean, but what I don't get is, yes the voice of Toad, did voice Oogtar, and I remember when I saw this cartoon first when I was five years old, I always wondered "Where's Toad?" Soon as I started watching a few more episodes and got the game I found out he wasn't in the game, but another thing that makes me wonder is that yes, the guy that voiced Toad has been around since the Super Show, but so has the guy that has voiced King Koopa, and he got to voice King Koopa in "Super Mario World." Who knows what the reason was for them leaving Toad out? Well who knows, anyone Toad was cool, and even though he wasn't in Super Mario World, at least we get to see him in the later Mario games.

Dinosaur Land and Super Mario World isnt a warp back in time. Its actually taking place in the present, after the adventures of Super Mario Bros 3. Dinosaur Land is just a severely uncivilized country, which is easily conquered with its idiotic population - a la Oogtar and the cavepeople. The only reasonable explanation of Toad's absence (as someone said earlier) would be to have someone rule the Mushroom Kingdom in Peach's absence.

At first, I thought Yoshi ate Toad, but yeah, I'll go with the idea that he was watching over the Mushroom Kingdom while Mario, Luigi and the Princess were living in Dinoland.

And yeah, in the cartoon, Dinoland is one of many "lands" in the Super Mario world(no pun intended). And if you just judge on the cartoons(not the games), there's the Mushroom Kingdom, all the lands from Super Mario 3(Grass Land, Desert Land...) and all those various strange lands from the Super Show(Cowboy Land, Mobster Land...).
