what's with Brady Corbet's lips?

Yes! There is one scene when he is talking to Lady Penelope and he has on darker lipstick then her and she's all dolled up with her pink lady outfit. And Bill Paxon had on way too much blusher.

The red lipstick on all the boys bugged me. I've seen that in other movies--why do they do that?
