The only good thing

Aside from Ben Kinglsey as the Hood (who, let's face it, is JUST as cartoony as his puppet counterpart), and the acting duo of Lady Penelope and Parker (who were actually quite likable and entertaining), I think this movie has one very good thing going for it.

Skip this paragraph if you just want to know what it is.
I have a philosophy that every film, no matter how bad, has at least one single scene where everything was done correctly. Whatever the film might be, every film has one moment or one scene which just worked well for it.

In the case of 'Thunderbirds' 2004, the one good scene came at the end, during a little exchange between Alan and Jeff, where Jeff says this line:
'No. See, you can't save everyone, Alan. It doesn't matter how hard you try or how brave you are. It doesn't even matter if it's someone you love, someone you'd give your life in a second to save. You just can't save everyone.'
I truly think this little dialogue scene was fricking great. It taught kids a lesson that's quite rare in media in general, that sometimes you just fail, no matter how hard you try. And when that happens, you need to make ammends and do what you can to improve.

Jeff failed at saving the Hood and his wife, and so created International Rescue and the Thunderbirds, in order to become more effective at saving lives.

The movie is awful, don't get me wrong, but this was the one good scene that it had.
