okay, who let Anthony Michael Hall's replacement for the character of Gary in Weird Science the TV show direct a film?

Some people have too much time on their hands. Did you actually see the movie? I found it surprisingly affecting.

Answer to hurricanepictures426's question: someone with too much (or too little) money. Either way, an idiot. But I really blame the writer(s).
