Does anyone know what Kyra's mom put in her soup to make her sick? Was that cough syrup??

Pinesol or something of the sort.

OMG, Kyra's mother is disgusting!!!

That's what I thought it was. "Pine Sol, but we can't call it Pine Sol in the movie for licensing reasons so we'll put it in the same bottle with the same color and a similar label."

Yeah, I thought it was Pine Sol or something similar. Something that might pass for a pleasant smell or diluted flavor. I was really disturbed by this scenario, needless to say. I mean, for all the weird and ugly things that happen in movies, this just seemed so cruel to such a young girl.

And where's the link to the source exactly??? There isn't any, someone pulled that out of their ass. The script actually describes her as "the mother". Dumbass.

It would be extremely rare for a woman to use a step child as a proxy. It had to be her mother.
