After all these years, don't you think this movie is worth a sequal?

I know, I know...would it be as good as the first one? Or, from another perspective would it shadow the first one? Maybe people think that because Dr. Malcolm solved Cole's issue and he finally saw the light, it is over. Mission accomplished on Earth, bye-bye?

I totally think this movie has ingredients for a nice, scarier and even better work plot for a sequal. I will state at least 3 reasons why and I'd love to hear from you whatever your opinion is.

1-Vincent Grey killed himself after shooting and killing Dr. Malcolm, so his soul would not rest in peace under those circunstamces, the sequal should show an angry ghost tormenting new dwellers;

2 - Cole did not actually stopped seeing dead people, he just learned how to deal with it; the sequal could solve that; because it has been a while, you don’t need HJO to play Cole’s role again but it is cool if it is the same actor;
3 -best reason for a sequal: horror movies lately are all about zombies, evil and paranormal stuff, from time to time, horror movies fans worth to see something more genuine, not made up creatures and violence! Cheers!

YES!!! I just watched again on the Movie Channel. It still scared me to death in places a couple of times. The good part about this movie was that my husband really liked it and he doesn't normal like them. I told him who was in it, he likes Bruce Willis, and we went that night. You have my vote for a sequel.

Would people want to see it without Willis, though? And if not, "how" would he be brought back? I doubt that the dead follow what happens in life, at least once they've moved on, so he wouldn't be likely to know about Vincent - and even if he did, I'd hate to think that guilt follows one into the afterlife! (If V. had killed himself right after shooting Malcolm, the time lapse would be hard to explain. As would M. having aged.)

I have mixed thoughts on a sequel. Part of me would like to see how Cole's life has been since the events in TSS. But, a think a very slightly bigger part of me just doesn't want to see this magnificent movie tarnished by a bad sequel. If it did get made though, nobody but M. Night should get anywhere near it. M. Only!!!!

I could easily see a sequel in which Cole becomes a renowned child psychologist (much like Dr. Malcolm), forming a sort of specialized agency that helps children like himself come to terms and deal with their gift/curse. Perhaps eventually he has a patient who is more gifted/cursed than himself and that becomes the plot of the movie.

I am fine with there not being a sequel. Though there is a TV show called The Ghost Whisperer I just started watching for the first time on Hulu last night after watching this movie. It ran for 5 seasons and is sort of a spin off of this movie. It's got a premise of a woman who like Cole sees Ghosts (and has seen them since she was a little girl) of people and helps them to pass on.
