When Billy showed the chimp the card of Roger Maris I noticed that the card was a 1961 Topps card of Maris, but the dateline for the movie was 1960. In the classroom note on the blackboard it showed the date 1960.

Man, there were so many errors in that movie that I could barely stand to watch it -- factual errors that is.

Alan Shepard flying a US Air Force Jet. He was a Navy pilot.

Astronauts train on the T-38, which is an Air Force jet and the one used in the movie. The error is that they're supposed to be in flat, tropical central Florida and the flight line shots are clearly in the California High Desert (Edwards AFB).

Maybe, sometimes we should just enjoy watching. This movie could enlighten several generations who are clueless of America in the 50-60s era. This could help. Enjoy the good parts and ignore the rest.

I am the first to admit being very nit picky sometimes, lets just enjoy one for effort..such as this was.
