Aight, not too sure how frequently visited this discussion is, but just saw Goodbye Lenin on DVD and somehow... the film did not entirely live up to the anticipation, perhaps because I think Pelisky is better? I'd welcome any comments from anyone whos seen both.
Yes, I concur. Pelisky is a way better movie. Pelisky is so packed with such honest and deep emotions, while perfectly incorporating all the historical facts as well as genial sense of humor that it can be hardly beat by any similar movie. I just finished watching it for probably the 5th time and I'm still overcome by how well-made this movie is, how well it translates that reality to us - making us feel the pain, laugh hard at the jokes...
Goodbye Lenin did not do this to me, not by a long shot.
