Funny or scary?

Do you find Kashchey Bessmertnyy a ridiculous character or a scary one? I apply this question to anybody who is not Russian. Further on I will comment on the subject myself. I suppose that only a few foreigners had a chance to read or see anything about that character, that's why this question may remain unanswered, alas.
