How to stop dramatic tension?

They have great set ups, Perfect make up, Ron is perfect as Hellboy, great villains, and an invincible army and yet not an ounce of dramatic tension though out. Just like the first one. Oh look I"m looking at a vaccuous video game movie. Boring despite all the positives. Come on, make a good Hellboy movie.

Oh and none of the jokes are funny either.
