Just finished painfully watching it. I must say I wasn't expecting much but it was far worse than any expectation. It was bad on every degree. Such a shame, because the Hellboy character is cool, if only the movie was made better.

We will have to agree to strongly disagree. I thought it was a beautifully shot, well-written, wonderfully designed film that had just the right tone.

Uh, are we talking about the same movie? There's no way I can imagine anyone actually thinking Hellboy has a good script or "just the right tone"...

Yes we are. You see, the thing is: Your opinion isn't the only one. (In fact, a majority of people really enjoy the films- good reviews, generally very warm fan reception, awards, etc.) Just because you didn't like it, doesn't mean other people feel the same way.

There is no such a thing that everybody will like the same movie that you like very much even if you think you are the majority or even it's been made very good or whatever.

I've seen worse, but I have to admit, I wasn't impressed with this movie.

So you would rather watch "Van Helsing" or "League of extraordinary Gentleman" over this movie? wow...

Dunno about Van Helsing, not sure I've ever seen it, but definitely yes on League of etc.! From what I remember, it was pretty good in every way except for the writing. Which is not saying much, because the writing makes up more than half the overall quality of a movie. So while I'm not a fan of League of etc., I still prefer it over Hellboy, which was worse in almost every way, including the damn writing!

Dunno about Van Helsing, not sure I've ever seen it

seen any 'Underworld' movies? VH is exactly the same as those.

If this is seriously the worst movie you've ever seen, you've been very, very lucky at movie watching.

I still don't understand why people use superlatives so often.

I totally agree.

Hellboy was the worst thing to happen since the Holocaust.

Everybody that was involved in making it should kill themselves.

Hm...actually platitudes and superlatives aren't actually as fun as I thought. It was fine. At worst it was not that good.
