Why 'Mrs. Haversham' (sp)?

How on earth have dumb people warped the lexicon so, that half of those who know of this character spell her name like this? I continually hear it pronounced this way, and as expected some of the reviews here show it as "Haversham"

It is MISS (She is single!) HAVISHAM.
