Pip (ioan gruffudd)

I think that Pip is so handsome, i fell more deeply in love with him when i saw this movie. Ioan should do more of these movies, he does so damn good in these kinds of movies.

Quite a few of his movies have been period pieces: Poldark, Wilde, Titanic, Horatio Hornblower series, Solomon and Gaenor, King Arthur, Y Mabinogi...

And not to mention Forsyte Saga re-make for ITV a few years ago....

Ioan's acting gave me reason to start liking Dickens again.

Like Colin Firth in Pride and Prejudice, Ioan looks especially good in those old-fashioned clothes.

Ditto Kady! My two favorite actors are Colin Firth and Ioan Gruffudd and my dream film would be for both of them to be in the same film, preferably a period one.

One of the reasons I liked him in Forever is that when they did the flashbacks he was dressed in all ages of period clothes. Unfortunately not going back as far as I'd like. But I still loved the series. Very disappointed it was canceled.

For now I can still watch it on HULU.

I hated him in Forsyte Saga, hard to have a crush on a character you despise.

I think Philip Bosinney is one of the most romantic, lovable characters in literature. Are you sure you're not confusing the character with Soames?

Not that Damian Lewis didn't make that character as likable as possible. But Ioan's Philip was to me, just what Galsworthy put on the page - artistic, idealistic, and a dream of a man.

reply

How can you find a hateful, selfish, and self centered character romantic? Hated both him and the girl, I actually sympathized with Soemes. My mom and I could not stand those people, but maybe it's a difference of culture. In their culture adultery and betrayal for selfish reasons are recommended actions.

reply

ioan's character there would two time and betray you in a heartbeat if it served his interest. He's not exactly a one women man.

Period films really suit him, check him out in Hornblower, he is so hot there!
