How would you begin a BG script? (premium cable style)

I know this forum probably doesn't get much traffic but I thought I'd post this here anywhere just in case someone wanders by and decides to add their thoughts.

Writing is a hobby of mine and recently I've been attempting to write a Baldur's Gate television series pilot script. I was inspired by the success of Game of Thrones, and although the chances of BG actually being adapted for premium cable or wherever are very low for numerous reasons, it's fun to pretend otherwise. So why not?
Anyway, my question for fellow BG players is, how do you think a hypothetical pilot should begin? I'm talking about the opening scene, basically. What I've been working on is having it open with a 5 minute or so prologue sequence based on the story of the PC's origin we learned in Throne of Bhaal. I've planned a scene where we are thrown immediately into a battle scene (the raid on a Bhaal temple), and we find Gorion when he's just killed Alianna and he finds the protagonist, leaves child Sarevok behind and escapes as the whole place collapses around him. I'd then cut to the present day with shots of Candlekeep right before introducing the protagonist and Imoen...

It's difficult to decide if that's the best beginning, however. Opening with that raid might be giving too much away right off the bat, even if I keep things vague (like not revealing the name 'Bhaal' at all, just showing that a raid on some kind of murderous cult that was trying to sacrifice kids took place and leaving viewers guessing). I feel like this story needs to bring up the "PC has a super dark and mysterious background" angle early on so that the big reveal later doesn't seem like it's out of the blue.

I've thought about using the little intro movie somehow too (the one where Sarevok throws another Bhaalspawn off the Irone Throne, dropping heavy hints about Bhaal stuff).

Thoughts?

I'd lean more towards the Sarevok opening and dropping the fighter off the roof. Far more sinister and foreboding of things to come!
