the "Stone" people (women)

What I found interesting is the two people they showed with this illness were women and two men married them. I wonder how often it happens in reverse with men with the disease and women marrying them.

I don't know if anyone watches that TLC show "My 600Lb LIfe" but people have often mentioned and wondered how so many of these immobile, morbidly obese women can get a husband when the husband has to do every thing for them; Washing them, shopping for them, helping them use the bathroom, etc. Some people have accurately guessed it's likely because these men are so insecure they know these women could never cheat or run out on them no matter what, even though many times they cheat on the obese spouse.

For the most part, women get after the obese men they are with to lose the weight and start becoming more independent or they are leaving them. Rarely do the men ask this of the women.

It reminds me of this situation of how these women can get a husband even though they have to be constantly aided by their spouse because they are unable to do so little for themselves.
