Watching it 10 years later...

When I was 11 years old, I absolutely loved this show. I just bought the DVD set and have watched the first 5 episodes in the last day. All that I have to say is that the 1st 2 episodes were a joke. I saw the original movie at age 13, and bought the DVD at 17 (now 20). It is hard to watch this series at time, knowing that the movie was pulled off much better.

On the other hand, the series was pulled off quite well for TV standards. The Crow's dark sense of humor was properly inserted, and I loved how the face-design appears when he enters his "rage" mode. I am sad this wasn't an HBO series, then they could have at least inserted material to make it a low R, rather than a medium PG-13 style series. There were several scenes that simply felt toned-down. They did well on the healing graphics and giving the crow a sense of style...but it isn't quite Brandon Lee.

Overall, I like the series because it gives me more of a character I love. It beats Crow 4 by a loooooonnnnnggg shot. I recommend it for anyone who was dissapointed in the last 2 crow movies but liked the first 2. This should give you a decent dose of The Crow. If you loved the 3rd and fourth movie...then this series will probably make you blow a load.

I was a senior in hs when this show came out. Loved the 1st two movies and comic books. Most people don't know that Brandon Lee was contracted to star in the sequel that everyone gives *beep* (just thought I'd throw that in there!)
