As a die hard fan of the original book and movie

Is this worth watching? Is it true to the spirit of the original? Does it have to same Gothic atmosphere?
And lastly, is it as bad as the pos sequels

It's worth watching if you like 'case of the week' procedurals that you can find on Network TV and if you're really into the whole mythos of The Crow.

Since it was developed for Network TV, it lacks the Gothic atmosphere and the dark tone. Unlike the movie, a lot of the TV series happens in broad daylight which adds a cheese element to it.

It's like watching a Batman TV series set in broad daylight. It just doesn't work that way.

But the one great thing about it is Mark Dacascos, who is a pretty good Eric Draven (and kinda resembles Brandon Lee).

It does end on a cliffhanger that never got resolved since there never was a second season.

Other than that, like the sequels, this doesn't hold a candle to the 1994 original.

That thing is a masterpiece.
