This wasn't a bad remake but (SPOILER WARNING)
they let the killers get away with it. In some cases this works but I thought this wasn't one of those times. What a wasted opportunity to have had a really great remake.
shareI didn't care on a moral level; I just thought it was ridiculous they couldn't convict them on the evidence they had. You have a husband proven to be abusive, his wife goes missing after he's arrested for hitting her while a neighbor hears a violent commotion, the next day he's cleaning up a wrecked apartment and has someone impersonating said missing wife, and he attempts to murder a witness and two others after the witness claims they saw what happened. Thin case, indeed.
