How cheap is this?

I'm from Canada. Our CTV network did two episodes with Canadian contestants and a Canadian host (Pamela Wallin) from the US set, but then they dropped the ball and never made any more episodes, because they couldn't afford to build a brand new set in Toronto. The UK set allegedly cost half a million pounds, I read somewhere.
