Bad Casting

LOL! I couldn't stomach the series because it turned the original series canon on it's head. Like, when did St. John become the [it]younger[/i] brother? And then there was Dom's niece who came out of nowhere.

While I dislike to disagree with folks on these boards, I am currently screening a dreadful episode of AIRWOLF that's full of plot holes I could drive an aircraft carrier through with enough room left over for my family car.

This debacle is called WELCOME TO PARADISE, and it involves St John's old friend and his wife, Scotty and Vicky. This couple have a feud ongoing with a man called Patterson who wants to take their fishing charter from them. That's the story, anyway. As it turns out it's really a drug smuggling operation Vicky wants to run from her charter business. Vicky murdered Scotty before she asked for St John's help.

Meanwhile Vicky is drinking AND taking pills. She's also snorting whatever-it-is they're smuggling. The enormous plot hole is that a license is required to fly a fixed wing aircraft. That requires a drug test. No one with a substance abuse problem can fly any type of aircraft. Period. The other plot hole is that Vicky threw a grenade and it exploded with fire. From what? In addition, Vicky is a complete babe. How could she be if she was using for years? No. Way.

EDIT: I completely forgot to mention that Geraint Wyn Davies is a Shakespearean actor who's been nominated for the Canadian Genie (their Emmy) several times. He was also nominated for an Academy Award for his role in ONE OF THE HOLLYWOOD TEN but he did not win. When given proper material he gives outstanding performances. This is poor material.
