Isn't it annoying to anyone else......

.....That morena or whatever , apparently loved Proteus, and she's on sinbad's ship for like ,not even a week, he's a total jerk to her the whole time, and she says "I love you!" after he tells her that she's the "mst beautiful thing he's ever seen".
Seriously, what an easy, easy, easy, easy hoe.

Proteus, the good guy, sacrifices his life for sinbad......
.......and sinbad steals his woman. That pisses me off.

if you were a married woman you would relate to it more. marina had more in common with sinbad then with proteus. she was betrothed to proteus and therefore felt obligated to love him and probably did somewhat. but her heart belonged to the sea. falling for sinbad was easier for her because they have that in common already.

yeah it took a relatively short period of time for her to feel that way. but you also have to take into consideration the time they spent together. people who endure events where their lives are in danger have a way of bonding very quickly. he did save her life for pete's sake. give 'em a break!

OI Don't get all *beep* bout it, if they wanna discuss a cartoon or true story its up 2 them, im almost 19 and i still enjoy cartoons a hell of a lot so stop being a stuck up witch and let them get on with it!

reply

Hey potty mouth ... cartoons don't *beep* the guy asking the question isn't Jesus, and the only one freaking out is you. His question hit a little close to home for you, eh? Chill out.

reply

Yeah, it isn't so much that she dumped a loyal good man for a loser, but that the producers once again promote the idea that the typical woman should take their need for acceptance from the dirtbag who treats them like *beep* and confuse that with love ... and promote tha not only is that okay ... but laudable. Plot lines like this prove nobody in Hollywood really knows what love is. They only seem rational to those who are willing buy into the twisted Hollywood wives approach to life.

I mean it would be okay if Sinbad stole her if Sinbad treated her like a gentlement, and there are such things as pirates/scoundrles who are gentlemen (ex: Westley of Princess Bride), but Sinbad was just a jerk to her and that's supposed to be appealing. It's a fact that young girls take cues from movies like this and get their ideas all screwed up about what makes a good romance in real life. Fact is that guys who treat any kind of women badly ALWAYS make horrible husbands (I know, my dad was one), and the women who fall for it have horrible marriages and spend a lifetime trying to convince themselves that they made a good choice getting peeved when people point out that they've made a stupid choice.

reply

I think you thought it out way more than the producers intended... lol

But I do see how you would think that.

reply

Yeah, I was bothered by this. It's one of the reasons I don't like the film all that much. D:

Nathaniel: Sire, do you...like yourself?
Edward: What's not to like?

reply

Actually I dont think you are remembering the movie very well. Or the person that wrote the OP either.
What makes you say that Morena loved Proteus?
It was made clear at the start that it was an arranged marriage.
Then it was also made clear that it had always been her dream to sail the seas adventuring.
It was also seemingly apparent that when Proteus proposed to her "for himself this time" it looked like she was going to say no.

It annoyed me, but you won't find many people that find it annoying. This is a different time. When people homewreck, the blame the victim of the homewreck instead of the homewrecker/spouse that allowed their home to be wrecked.

"You can't STEAL a person from someone!" That's literally what people actually say, I'm not kidding.
