...they never start Sportscenter off by going to commercial 10 seconds after the show starts. How would any viewer stay tuned if the show starts, the anchors introduce themselves, and then they go to commercial?
I love the writing of this show but the above drives me nuts when they do this. Every. Single. Episode.
Looks like Aaron Sorkin took your advise when creating The Newsroom. Will Macavoy does not go to commercial straight away.

BTW, just to confirm, watch the episode "Thespis". At the start of each show they say "Roll VTR" which is a highlight of the stories they're going to cover; it runs at least 30 seconds. Then they do their banter including "those stories plus..." and say "You're watching Sports Night on CSC...". At the end of their show, they have the end credits with the monster truck - there is no tease of Sally's show.
It's not a tease we see - it's the opening of the show itself.
